Social Media Where Are We Heading?

General Perception

We live in a world today where we are constantly and progressively becoming much more aware of our surroundings and the problems that come with it. The idea of having to understand each and every single aspect related to social media associated with our society has not been understood and discussed on multiple levels that would allow the users and the audience using social media as a medium to be communicated and discuss issues that come with it.
Our world has become so consumed with social media platforms that all the past problems would not only change us, but also allows us to understand the dynamics of social media, expanding our horizon of thoughts and helping us focus effectively and legibly on these areas in detail.

Considering All Aspects

There will be times when people would not only influence our knowledge and information about how social media benefits us, but it is also the degree of threat and damage that has given social media the position it has. There have been multiple discussions and problems that people have received upon the problems, disasters and consequences that people have experienced on social media platforms.
Whenever we describe social media platforms, there are so many varieties of them that we have made them a part of our lives – and this I say with my own experience. I used to think and believe that Facebook would suffice for all my needs and demands and that having so many social media platforms altogether is highly detrimental and a big waste of time.
But, with the passage of time, social pressures, becoming the need of the hour and which are constantly changing environment and surroundings, I am currently using eight (8) applications that are extremely important, according to my mind, that would help me stay in touch with contacts, share pieces about my life and the work that I do in life.

Why has social media become so important for people?

Because of the diversity and the boundary less organizations that companies and institutions are now looking forward to become. People in our immediate surroundings have become so absorbed of the social media platforms, followed by information dissemination that is vital to the knowledge and understanding of us human beings and the companies that operate.
There would be several situations and instances where people would not only have to deal with people in terms of physical presence, but also calls for a more interactive session every time. To understand the growth that exists in social media, there really is no limit to the degree of change and transformation that can take place when it comes to these things.

Come What May

Despite the problems and the situations that come with social media, many small, medium and big companies, organizations and institutions are now transferring all their services, products, purchases and communications on social media platforms to help the audience improve their relationships well with their clients and also expand their company operations to a large platform.
If a person compares the history, culture and civilization that took place with it, people will see, realize and understand that the mode of communication has transformed so much that it hardly to be a difference to the audience any more. One of the oldest mediums that we have had as human beings is the voice. With human beings communicating and interacting in person, that element has transformed completely.
The essence of ‘communication’ and ‘interactivity’ have been changed and altered entirely to assist people in effective customer client servicing and also calls for a better understanding and comprehension altogether. As a user myself, it has become much more visible about what the role of social media really is.
The times that we live in, the upcoming generations really have become so connected and interlinked with one another that it is absolutely “necessary” for people to “like”, “tweet”, “comment”, “share” and “update blog” each and every single detail about people’s lives.
According to research, an estimated 76% of population operates on an online platform, either for business, personal items or just spending their leisure time surfing through multiple social media platforms, searching through pictures, posts, comments, articles and many other avenues that would allow them to stay connected with their professional and personal relationships.

Challenges

The kind of changes and the challenges that come with social media networks are limitless. Keeping a tap of things and the people that are interested in the development of their business has social media networks and platforms to help them understand the existence of their company, highlighting their presence. In contrast to this, those people that are interacting over social media have fallen prey to a variety of situations and events that have proved to be fruitless.  Concerns regarding data theft, copyright infringement, information breach, fake profiling and many more situations that have made it very difficult for people to trace the felonies, crimes and the criminals and that operating through social media.

Concluding Remarks

Some of the most popular social media network includes: Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest, Flickr, Whatsapp, Viber, Snapchat, and many more. These, along with all the other applications, have become so powerful and versatile that people from any part of the world are now communicating. From presidents of different countries and celebrities belonging to the fashion and television industry to the people working in non-profit organizations and medical institutions, it is rather astonishing to see that how rapidly people are now changing their operations and transferring all their connections on social media platforms.
From where I see it, social media is definitely going big. The times that we live in today, have changed a lot and it would be really difficult for someone to not have an identity on a social media platform and lead their lives independently of these interactive networks.
Even though the element of the human connection that occurs face-to-face cannot be replaced, the influence of social media certainly reduces the component of “distance” by a long margin. As human beings, we require a connection that is close and understanding, and to a grave extent, social media has certainly done that.
