Instagram Allows You to Share a Post to Several Profiles

Some of the iOS users that have opened Instagram in the last days have seen something different when they wanted to post a photo. A new feature appeared on the screen. What is this all about? Let’s see!

The latest update of Instagram on iOS devices – at the moment – allows users to post the same photo or video to more than one profile, if several are added to the app.

What does this mean for the users?

As we already know, Instagram profiles divide in several categories: users with personal profiles, influencers and micro-influencers and businesses. There are also the users that are social media managers and that are managing more than one account, for different businesses or for the same business, but in different countries.

For the latter case, the new feature from Instagram comes in handy. Why? Because you won’t have to switch between accounts to share the same photo, or you don’t have to change devices.

This is also available for businesses as well, if there are several branches of it that have to share the same piece of content.

As for the influencers and micro-influencers, the update comes in hand when they do takeovers and want to share the same photo or video both to their personal or business profile and to the business’ they to the takeover for.

How does it work?

We will tell you how you can add the same content to multiple accounts without having to switch accounts or devices.

First, open or take a photo or record a video for your phone. Then edit it as you wish and add your favorite filters to it. When it is ready to be shared, go to the next step as you did until now.

You will then see the screen where you can add a caption, tag people or add a location. Under those options, you will see the “Post to other accounts” feature. And you can choose the accounts to share the content to as many accounts as you choose. As you can be logged in to Instagram to up to 5 accounts at the same time, you can choose where to post the photo or the video.

Remember: the new feature is available to selected iOS users at the moment, rolling out to the other iOS devices in the following period. And we bet they will roll it out to Android users as well.
