Instagram has taken the world by storm. Like it or not, that is a fact. People who don’t engage on Instagram is going to lose out, a lot. Working with clients from various industry, I understand that Instagram is still one of the most challenging platforms for business owners.
The platform had seen so many changes in the years and it is extremely common to have many questions unanswered. At least, these are the questions that are going to linger around your head for some time.
One of the most important questions is “How Do I Tag People In My Instagram Photo?”
What do you need to understand first?
“When you upload a photo to Instagram, you’re now able to add people as easily as you add hashtags. Only you can add people to your photos, so you have control over the images you share. And it doesn’t stop at people—you can add any account on Instagram, whether it’s your best friend, favorite coffee shop or even that adorable dog you follow.” (Source: Instagram Blog)
How Do I Tag People In My Instagram Photo?
Tap anywhere in the post or image. This will pop up a screen where you can search for names of your friends or usernames.
Start typing the name and if the drop down button on Instagram doesn’t show up, just hit the search or enter button on your keyboard. For the record, I personally feel the Instagram button is buggy and doesn’t work most of the time.
How to add people to a photo you have already uploaded?
It happens. Sometimes you missed out a friend or family member and it sucks.
Lucky for you, there’s a quick remedy for this.
The first step is to go to the selected photo and the fastest way is through your profile page.
Tap on the image and you will see three round buttons showing up either on the top right of the screen or bottom of the screen (depending on the type of smartphone you are using).
Click on the three round button and tap ‘Add People’.
Using this method, you can easily add people to photos you had uploaded in the past.
