It’s that time of the year when Facebook is revealing its quarterly results and announces hot Facebook news and what’s to come for its products.
As many of us might say, Facebook is slowly going down due to all the scandals they have been involved in and users migrating to other social networks. But the announcement that Mark Zuckerberg has posted on his Facebook page recently shows us the opposite.
Let’s see how are the Facebook quarterly results and what are the plans for the platform and its related products.
There are more than 2.7 billion users on Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram using them monthly from which 2.1 billion people that use one of those platforms on a daily basis. This means no regression, but an increase in the number of users on the platforms.
After all the scandals about privacy, they finally decided to invest more human resources in creating more secure privacy and give more trust to their users and avoid future scandals related to this. Regarding all the scandals, Facebook will pay the $5 billion fine and agrees to report to FTC any privacy-related concerns.
Another priority for them, besides building stronger privacy, is having a word to say in what elections, bullying or other harmful content is regarding. They are trying to eliminate those types of content from the platform and be as accurate as they can in what the content that is shared is concerned.
