Make short videos with Twitter’s Vine

Last thursday (24 January) Twitter announced a new mobile service called Vine, which allows users to create and share 6 second looping videos.

Like they say on their blog, the guys from Vine transform the 140 character of a twitter’s  tweet into a 6 second video:
“We want to make it easier for people to come together to share and discover what’s happening in the world. We also believe constraint inspires creativity, whether it’s through a 140-character Tweet or a six-second video.”

Below you can watch a “Get started with Vine” video presentation by Sharon Vaknin from CNET:

  • When people write about Vine it would be very helpful if they would mention what devices it works on. Not everyone has a smart phone and I suspect that even not all smart phones work with Vine?
